GGC’s Advancement Division serves the college by communicating, connecting and promoting the college’s mission, vision and goals to members of the public, parents, elected officials and local organizations in order to provide support and resources for the growth of GGC.

 

The Advancement Division includes Public Affairs, Development and External Affairs. Advancement also serves as a direct link between the College and the Georgia Gwinnett College Foundation.

 

Advancement Vision:

• A premier 21st Century Advancement Division that is integrally and purposely engaged with the College’s internal and external community constituents.
• A driving force for success in achieving the financial resources to meet the capital and operating needs of the school.
• A model partnership of leadership and service with all internal and external community constituents engaged in the enrollment management function.
• A dynamic leader in communication and fundraising where departments and functions are integrated beyond traditional lines, providing a model for innovative approaches to Advancement.

 Advancement Mission:

Advancement serves to strengthen and enrich the GGC’s mission, its public service and outreach programs to the community by:

• Fostering long-term relationships and lifelong commitments to the College by actively and purposely engaging constituents (Make friends).
• Facilitating the acquisition and stewardship of private resources in coordination with the GGC Foundation to help the College attain levels of excellence beyond state funding (Raise money).
• Establishing efficient and effective communications, volunteer leadership, development and fundraising activities, and a strong partnership with the Georgia Gwinnett College Foundation (Work together).
• Creating excellent communication and marketing programs resulting in a robust student population (Enroll students).
• Emphasizing the innovative use of technology to enhance all of its activities (Use technology).
