Vision
Georgia Gwinnett College is a 21st century, higher education institution founded on the basis of self-assessment and continual attention to its mission of graduating students who are contributors to and leaders of their communities. The Institutional Effectiveness office will lead the development of an institutional culture in which assessment, self-evaluation and improvement are fundamental to the operation of every unit at the college.
Mission
The Institutional Effectiveness office will support the mission of GGC by providing leadership to units as they develop and implement assessment plans. Further, the Institutional Effectiveness office will work to integrate assessment efforts, particularly those of academic and student affairs, so that each student experiences a seamless process through which he or she both gives feedback to and receives feedback from the college about the effectiveness of GGC's programs.
The overall goals of the Office of Institutional Effectiveness are:
- Develop a culture and mechanism for on-going monitoring of the educational needs of the local, regional and global knowledge-based economy.
- Develop an on-going and integrated institutional wide planning process
- Develop an integrated and systemic Institutional Effectiveness program for all administrative, academic and student co-curricular units of GGC.
- Develop staff and procedures for the Institutional Effectiveness Office.
- Develop an Institutional Review Board.
