 Hours of Operation: Mon-Thurs, 8am-10pm, Fri 8am-4:30pm, Sat 10am-2pm, Sun 1pm-6pm

Facility Use Policy

 

Facilities and equipment:

  • 10 study rooms
  • 3 collaborative work spaces that can be reserved. Collaborative work spaces are all equipped with either a PC or an iMac, a projector, a video camera, a DVD-R, headphones and microphone.
  • 77 networked computers available for library research, each equipped with CD-R and headphones
  • Library instruction room with 24 student computers, projector and Smart Board
  • Public photocopiers
  • Video cassette players
  • Microfilm/microfiche readers

Photocopies:

  • Photocopiers do not accept cash, but operate on a swipe card system.
  • You can use either a GPC or GGC ID card or a V-Card to make copies. You can put copy credits on either of these cards using the kiosks (V-Machines) located in the atrium on the ground floor of Building B or in the Student Center in Building A. V-Machines accept $1, $5, and $10 bills.
  • If you don't have a GPC or GGC ID, you can purchase a V-Card for $1 in either of the V-Machines and then put more value on it as you wish.
  • You can add copy credits to your GPC or GGC ID in the Student Accounts office in Building D during regular business hours.
  • Library copy machines do not accept faculty ID's. Faculty can use machines located in department offices with faculty ID's.
  • There is also a copy machine located on the third floor of Building B, just past the Faculty Suite, that accepts GPC, GGC and UGA faculty ID's.
  • There is a faculty copy machine located outside the mailroom in Building A and in the mailroom of Building B.

The Library cannot make change. You can get change in Student Accounts.

 

Problems:

 

The Library is not responsible for copy cards that don't work. If you have a problem with a V-Card, call the phone number that is printed on the card. If you have problems outside of business hours, call the next business day.

 

Refunds:

 

If you lose copy credits because of a copy machine malfunction you can have that value returned to your card using the online form located at www.gpc.edu/~gpccs/refund.htm. You will need to take note of the copy machine number (located on the front of the machine) and your ID number (not your Social Security number). If you need additional assistance, call Auxiliary Services at 404. 299.4412.

 

Fees:

  • Print-outs from computers or microfilm readers cost $.15 per page.
  • Photocopies cost $.09 per page.
  • V-Cards cost $1.00. If you need to purchase a V-Card card, you will need to deposit $1.00 in the one of the V-machines located in the atrium of Building B or the Student Center in Building D. You can add value to the card as you wish.

The following are prohibited in the library:

  • Tobacco use, including chewing tobacco
  • Viewing of pornography or violent content on library computers
  • Any behavior that would disrupt others' ability to study

Please remember:

  • Priority of computer use is given to research-related activities.
  • Parents are responsible for the behavior of their children. Children under the age of 16, unaccompanied by an adult, are not allowed in the Library.
